a) What does the word 'natural abilities' mean?
Ans. 'Natural abilities' means the abilities with which a man is borm/
b) What does Abraham Lincoln mean by "unfinished task" in his speech "Gettysburg Address"?
Ans. By unfinished task' Lincoln means task of ensuring liberty and equality for all irrespective of their colour or origin.
c) What is anaphora?
Ans. An anaphora is a rhetorical term meaning the repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of several clauses.
d) What was the incident that move Tagore write the letter?
Ans. The historical incidence of the Jalianwallahbag massacre, also known as the Massacre of Amritsar, which took place on 13 April 1919, moved Rabindranath Tagore to reject Knighthood.
e) What does "Saccula Sacculorun" mean?
Ans. The Latin phrase means for ever and for ever.
f) What is an allusion?
Ans. An allusion is a passing reference, without explicit identification, to historical or fictional characters, places or events or to other works that the writer assumes the reader would recognize.
g) What is Foyot's?
Ans. Foyot's is a very expensive restaurant in Paris. Usually the French senators and the rich people have their meals there.
h) I'm me without my hair, ain't I? Who said it and why?
Ans. Being awfully nervous, Della thought that Jim would not like her much without her beautiful hair. That's why she tried to emotionally attach Jim in the fact that physical beauty should not matter in case of true love.
